Matt Hoyme is a multi-disciplinary artist living on the island of Kaua’i. He has been tattooing since 2011, and has been drawing and painting since childhood. He has been co-owner of Ironbridge Tattoo on Kaua’i  since 2017. His work is an expression of nature, family, community, and imagination.

Matt draws inspiration from different cultures and blends them into his own unique style. Some of his favorite styles to tattoo are Japanese, Tibetan, American traditional, folk art, and black and grey. Matt views tattooing as a collaborative effort between the collector and himself, feeling very honored to be able to keep the tradition of tattooing alive through those who choose to adorn themselves with his art.

Painting has always been a huge part of his life and finds it to be the most freeing and versatile medium to work in. Whether he’s painting on canvas, paper, a skateboard, or a wall, he’s always in his happy place. Matt has had the honor of having his  work selected for many juried art shows across the state of Hawaii and mainland, been fortunate enough to be a part of some amazing group shows, mural events, and has had several solo exhibits.

Flying Chameleon is a lifestyle brand that is inspired by tattooing, surfing, skateboarding, counter culture, alien and psychedelic imagery. It encompasses art, apparel, animation and is ever evolving.
